Mini's are with a Blizzard instructor or an adult supervisor for the entire day. Average Class size of seven or fewer students per instructor.

BLIZZARD MINI (ages 6-8)
This program offers all the benefits of our youth program while giving our younger participants the extra special attention they need. Mini Blizzards are with a Blizzard instructor or adult supervisor for the entire day.
Adult supervisors take over during lunch, with coloring books and songs added to the lunch time activities. After lunch it's back on the slopes with the instructor, Mini Blizzards have five skill levels of their own.

BLIZZARD YOUTH (ages 8-12)
This program has been created to meet the demands of our members. This program allows members to ski in a supervised ski group outside of their lesson. This makes moving from the Mini program into the Youth program format easier. During the 2 1/2 hour instruction there is a combination technical exercises and teaching games designed to help children develop the physical and mental skills they need to further their skiing ability. Many develop quickly into accomplished skiers, and all gain self confidence and take pride in their skiing achievements. They will also enjoy associating with our supervisory staff outside of the lesson to develop relationship skills with other equivalent members. Blizzard uses ten ski levels, dividing skill developments into the small steps needed to become a great skier.

BLIZZARD TEEN (ages 9 - 17)

This is the original Blizzard program and remains the most popular today. The instruction is a combination technical exercises and teaching games designed to help children develop the physical and mental skills they need to further their skiing ability. Many develop quickly into accomplished skiers, and all gain self confidence and take pride in their skiing achievements. They enjoy associating with other Blizzard youths and forming lasting relationships. Blizzard has ten ski levels, dividing skill developments into the small steps needed to become a great skier.

BLIZZARD APPRENTICE (ages 15 - 17)

This is a program for our top level skiers (D, Bronze, Silver, or Gold) to allow them to shadow instructors, participate in their own clinics, and learn how to develop teaching techniques. This allows the student to determine if teaching is in their future interest.

PIN LEVEL SKILL MERITS: (all pin level skiers)

Good luck you pinner's here are a few of the disciplines to accomplish: Royal Christies, Javelin turns, The Charleston, Pure carves, One ski turns, Falling leaf, Wedge swing hops, Dudley doodles, Check hop turns.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS ARE SAYING!

Sorry we missed you all this year.  Too busy with coaching, but thought of you often and hope all is well with everyone!  FYI, Blizzard sets the foundation for a solid skier, which can become a great racer!  Both Johnny and Kiki (Kirsten) had four great years racing with the Lahser Varsity Ski Team.  Qualified for Class A State Finals and were All State Skiers.  This year we went to the Nastar National in Steamboat, Kiki won the Gold Div. 17-20 year olds and then won the Women's National Championship - raw time.  Katrina came in 7th in the Platinum and Kayla 11th in the Silver.  They still have a little work to do.  Thanks Blizzard for all the great instruction over the years!!!
